12th Berea Celtic Festival
August 19-20-21-22, 2021
This gathering of joyful, talented and very skillful folks is a city-wide event and brings in 40-50 enthusiastic musicians from 10-12 states. It is always slated for the third weekend in August.
The weekend includes sessions, concerts, workshops, dancing, story telling, and a lot of fellowship.

Th-day 8/19: 7:30 - 9:30 PM: Opening evening features a bunch of musicians, readers and
singers from Berea and beyond, who enjoy a song or two from one of the seven
Celtic nations. Performances by Deborah Thompson, Diane Bailey, Liza and A.J.,
Chip Bailey, Kelly Caldwell and more at Berea Arts Council, 333 Chestnut Street.
Tickets at the door. Adults $10, students $5. Alcohol sale.
Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Friday 8/20 : 5:45 - 7:00 PM: Live music at Smokehouse Grill, Peggy Flats Road at Exit 77)
7 PM - 9:00 PM: Ceili at Russel Acton Folk Center, 212 Jefferson Street. (Irish family
friendly dance) led by Allison Asay Duvall. Volunteer musicians.
9:30 PM - Midnight: Musicians gather for a session at the folk center.
Saturday 8/21: Sessions at College Square and Short Street, from 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM.
Events at Papa Leno's, BC Shoppe, Robie Books, Farmers Market.
4:00 PM: Songs of Ireland presentation by Mark Rosenthal
at Cowan Chapel, Un ion Church, 200 Prospect St.
7:30 PM: The Celtic Gala Concert at Union Church. $20/ $3.
Sunday 8/22 : Celtic service at Union Church begins at 10:30 AM. Donations accepted.
Irish harp music at Hotel Boone Tavern featuring Jeni Balcom. For brunch guests. Begins at 12:30 PM.
