
9th Berea Celtic Festival
August 17-19, 2018
This gathering of joyful, talented and very skillful folks is a city-wide event and brings in 40-50 enthusiastic musicians from 10-12 states. It is always slated for the third weekend in August.
The weekend includes sessions, concerts, workshops, dancing, story telling, and a lot of fellowship.

Bluegrass. 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
Friday 8/18 : Jigs, Reels and Contra at Russel Acton Folk Center featuring caller Joe
Wilkie and Knoxville-based band Four Leaf Peat. From 8 PM. $5/$3.
Saturday 8/19: Sessions at College Square and Short Street, from 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM.
Donations.
Workshops at Russel Acton Folk Center from 1 PM - 5 PM. $5 ea.
The Celtic Gala Concert at Union Church begins at 8 PM. $20.
Kids and students $5.
Sunday 8/21 : Celtic service at Union Church begins at 10:30 AM. Donations accepted.
Irish harp music at Hotel Boone Tavern featuring Jeni Balcom. For brunch guests. Begins at 12:30 PM.
Mission statement: The Folk Circle Association of Berea, Kentucky is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that seeks to enrich the Berea region through the cultivation of folk recreation, folk dance, folk music, general gymnastics and exercise, educational programs and activities.
